Canadian Military Headquarters Formation Insignia

Canadian military forces in the United Kingdom also had their own set of distinguishing formation patches of various construction.1

The gold wire versions were worn by officers on Service Dress; note also the Canadian Army Pacific Force patch in the scan at right.  Soldiers in Europe volunteering for the CAPF were instructed to place the CAPF hexagon over their current formation patches.
