History
At the time of its creation, the regiment was the only cavalry
regiment in Quebec, and was in fact the only cavalry regiment in
Quebec prior to 1880.
In the period 1900-1920, the regiment
served in Military District No. 5, Division #5, as a part of the 4th
Mounted Brigade.2
